If you’re anything like me, you’ve planned the perfect most pinterest-worthy outfit for an occasion, and then you get there (feeling as cute as can be) and you remember you’re a mom and your time is spent on the floor, as a human jungle gym or bending over and carrying another human the whole time. And you quickly think to yourself “WHAT WAS I THINKING.” And I tell myself that next time I’m wearing leggings and a baggy sweatshirt so at least I’m comfortable and not worried about any wobbly bits falling out.

TMI? Just me?

So I thought it could be fun to pull together three outfits, six different looks, for some fun and festive outfit inspiration (bonus – no wobbly bits will be exposed during the wearing of these ensembles).

dress (50% off)  |  leggings ($20 off)  |  sorel boots  |  earrings left  |  earrings right

If you don’t already have a buffalo plaid dress like this in your closet – I grabbed this one recently from Gap and it’s currently 50% off in stores (40% off online). I thought it was a fun look to pair it with these amazing (no seriously – they will change your life) faux leather pebble Spanx leggings. These hold everything in place and are so comfortable! For the casual look pair them with a pair of sorels or any booties you already have! For a fun pop of color or if you’re running to a more formal Christmas gather later in the day, toss on a pair of festive-colored pumps and statement earrings!

flannel  |  jeans  |  booties (50% off) |  OTK boots ($40!)   |  similar fur vest  |  earrings left ($18!) |  bracelets

If you can’t tell, I’m really loving buffalo plaid this year! This is a Sanctuary brand flannel from Evereve and it is the softest shirt ever. I’m in love with it and worn it so much already this year. I’ve paired it with jeans, black jeans, my faux leather-coated mini skirt, and more. But for Christmas I wanted to keep it comfortable so jeans it is! I love a good front tuck with a flannel, but I’ve recently been playing around with tying the front (seen above). This particular flannel lays so nicely when it’s tied because it’s longer in the back. For the casual look I would wear it with booties – but again you could do uggs, sorels, or any other comfortable boots you have in your closet.

For the more formal flare I put it with a fur vest to glam it up a bit! And we need to talk over the knee boots for a second. I ordered the ones everyone is “in love” with from Nordstrom a few months ago (on sale for $160 – pictured above on the left) – and that same day I saw these on Target.com for $39.99 (and they had a sale on shoes so I paid nearly half that – pictured above on the right). And honestly, I can’t tell the difference! The Target ones are comfortable, I got them in this color and black and I have worn them so much! All that to say, if you’re in the market for some OTK boots, go for the Target ones and save $120!

turtleneck  |  denim (20% off)  | sorel boots  | earrings left  | hat  |  pumps (20% 0ff)

By the time our third Christmas celebration rolls around my hair has seen better days – so a hat is always a great option. I love this soft green turtleneck, looks so cute with a little front tuck. For the casual look I put it with some subtle earrings and sorels boots. For a more formal option I paired it with my absolute favorite heels (and they are comfortable, and I’m not exaggerating) and a bold tassle earring.

There you have it – some stylist and comfortable options for all your Christmas celebrations! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your families!
