As a working mama I am all about finding clothes that are versatile and can be worn for both work and play. I need things that are comfortable when I’m on my floors at home playing with my littles, but look professional in a conference room too!

So I thought it could be fun to share my four favorite tops right now – and give you some ideas on how to dress them up for work or date night or running around on a Saturday morning.

These are all looks I’m loving right now, and will transition great into spring too!

Typically, I am pretty afraid of color. If you look in my closet – I am absolutely becoming my mother (which is actually a really good thing, ha!) because everything is grey, white, black or beige. But I recently had a girlfriend do a color test on me and showed me that I should be wearing way more color (especially pinks)! Bonus… a pop of color is so trendy this spring!

So don’t be afraid to grab a sweater in a fun, bold color. It will seriously uplift your mood (I think it’s physically impossible to be cranky in a hot pink turtleneck, just sayin’). And make these cold days a little brighter!

I can’t get enough of graphic tees right now. I shared this one on my birthday because it has such a great message (and is a great price point from Evereve). This is something that can be worn with leggings around the house or a pencil skirt, statement necklace and blazer at the office.

Don’t break the bank on a graphic tee! There are so many great reasonably priced options out there and there is no need to spend a lot of money on them. Another tip – stay neutral! This will allow you to pair it with more things, and I think it’s easier to get away with a dressier look if it’s a neutral tone.

I’ve also paired mine with a leather jacket and red lipstick for a date night too – there are just so many options on how to style a simple graphic tee, be creative!

These have been “on trend” since fall – I know they were a huge hit on the Nordstrom sale. I have a white one, black one and even a leopard print version that I wore on New Years Eve! This is a top I have gotten so much use out of. You can put it with a chunky sweater while it’s still cold, and it will be so great in the summer with a jean jacket or even just some distressed denim shorts. I prefer these to fit loosely so I can do a little front tuck.

flannel  ($14!)  |  flats ($22!)  |  jeans (20% off) |  tan booties (60% off)

If you follow me on instagram you already know my love for this feminine spin on a typical flannel. I have it in two colors and I honestly live in it. It’s so easy to dress up with trendy booties and a statement necklace, or down with comfy jeans and uggs.

I first bought this at a local boutique called Primp when I was still pregnant with Audrey – with the intent of wearing it post-partum. And can I just tell you – it was my FAVORITE top right after I had her. It does a great job hiding the “wobbly bits” (mamas you know what I’m talking about), and the buttons work so it’s perfect for nursing. Plus, you actually feel cute and trendy in it – which helps you feel better about life when running low on sleep!
